On a 1990 3.0 liter Mazda 626 or Ford Probe, how do you remove the oil pan?

I've already removed the battery, radiator, starter, exhaust pipe(s), and 2 brackets that covered some of the oil pan bolts. I also removed the bolts attaching the Transaxel bell housing to the Engine, because it looks like a flashing (or plate?) between the 2 seems to prevent the oil pan from being removed. I just want to be able to replace the oil pump!!!On a 1990 3.0 liter Mazda 626 or Ford Probe, how do you remove the oil pan?
It's past time to go to the library and look in Chilton's Auto Repair manual. I wonder if any of the crankshaft counterweights are in the way? If so, maybe rotating the crankshaft will get them clear. Check the book first.
