How do you change an oil pan on a 1993 chevy silverado 4x4?? Is there a trick?

If you pull the front axle out of the truck you can get right to it.Propping up the engine is a pain, and in most cases it won't go up far enough to get the pan out, without pulling the distributor and the fan shroud. The front axle shafts come out relatively easy and there's only 4 bolts holding the rest of the assembly in. It takes some squirming to get it out but IT WILL COME OUT. . Good luck. How do you change an oil pan on a 1993 chevy silverado 4x4?? Is there a trick?
I think that the only way to do this one is the raise the engine assembly up a few inches. If you take the front motor mount bolts out and then raise the motor with a engine hoist you should be able to get the pan off but make sure you check for clearance before you drop the pan.
