Can a cast iron diesel engine oil pan with a crack be brazed with oxy/acetylene?

Yes,brass will work,I've done that before on exhaust manifolds. As I'm sure you already know, clean the surface by grinding or preferably a light sandblast. Can a cast iron diesel engine oil pan with a crack be brazed with oxy/acetylene?
Yes you can braze it...however, for a more reliable fix electric weld is preferred and there are special rods just for cast metal. In electric welding of cast iron the trick is preheating. Can a cast iron diesel engine oil pan with a crack be brazed with oxy/acetylene?
Cast iron can be welded, but don't attempt it unless you are an experienced welder as it is very difficult. You can make the problem worse.

Depending on where the crack is, you may be able to fix it with ';JB WELD';. This stuff is very good, however you will have to make sure that the surface is super free of oil before using.
yes or there are other weld-free that you can buy that work real well. I've used them Volvo truck airtanks in the past.
