How to replace a oil pan gasket on a 1997 pontiac firebird?

I need to know how to change the oil pan gasket on my car?How to replace a oil pan gasket on a 1997 pontiac firebird?
drain the oil out, loosen the bolts around the outer edge of the oil pan, take the oil pan off, scrape the old gasket off with a puddy knife and off the engine block if necessary and finally put some liquid gasket(not alot) around the edge of the oil pan then put the gasket on top of the pan and bolt it back up. look on some firebird forums online for more details. How to replace a oil pan gasket on a 1997 pontiac firebird?
I'm pretty sure that you'll need to get the motor out of the car to do this on that year firebird. I don't think you can do it in the car.
