Just get the oil pan bolts ';snug'; tight. If you tighten them really hard you will squeeze the gasket out and possibly warp the pan. The bolts aren't that big too. Snug the bolts hard and use lock tight
about a half turn before it snaps

The Manual will give you torque limits for
different bolt sizes.
